Vintage description : One word to describe the 2021 vintage: challenging! After a beautiful March, the black frost in April destroyed between 50 and 70% of the harvest. Temperatures dropped to -14°F, which affected the buds. Vegetation recovered very quickly, resulting in a lot of work in the vineyard. Unfortunately, the summer was rainy, with a high risk of diseases such as powdery mildew and downy mildew. During the harvest, drastic sorting was carried out both in the vineyard and in the winery to ensure that the grapes were ripe. Ultimately, this vintage produces balanced, light wines with a fine, fresh structure.
Cultivation method : The vines are grown organically. Mechanical soil cultivation. They are pruned using the single Guyot method with long canes and every other bud removed, resulting in beautiful, well-spaced bunches.
Vinification : Traditional Burgundy vinification in open wooden vats and closed stainless steel vats.
Aging : Aged for 15 months in barrels (30% new barrels)
